Event Information

Celebrate Family Day weekend by bringing your entire family to UBC on Sunday, February 11 from 10am to 5pm for a day where kids and youth will be given meaningful roles, working alongside staff and volunteers to participate in the life of arts and culture. 

Program (All inclusive):

Fredric Wood Theatre: Th’owxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish by Joseph A. Dandurand

Museum of Anthropology: Takeover Day with youth-led arts, dance, tours, featuring the Zhambai Trio musicians!

School of Music: Cinderella, stage tours, costumes, and make-up.

Belkin Art Gallery: Poem power -- for mighty kids who want to change the world!

Kid-friendly food trucks, photobooths, Thunderbird marching band, crafts, prizes and more!

Passes and Tickets: 

There are two types of tickets available: family passes and individual tickets. Each family pass comes with all access passes for 2 adults and 2 kids (under 12), entry to arts and culture venues, a $10 food voucher and discounted parking. 

  • $30 UBC All Access Pass for UTown@UBC, UBC staff, faculty and student families
  • $45 Alumni All Access Pass for UBC Alumni families
  • $60 Visitor All Access Pass for general public families 
  • $15 UBC Individual All Access Pass for UBC staff, faculty and students 
  • $25 Visitor Individual All Access Pass for general public 

Add-ons:

  • $10 for additional kid under 12 (may be purchased in addition to an all access pass)

  • A photographer will be present and your photo may appear in UBC Community Development and/or UBC Arts & Culture District promotional materials. 
  • GST will appear as "convenience fee" on your ticket confirmation. 
  • The event will take place rain or shine. Sorry, no refunds will be given. 
  • Sorry, no pets allowed except for service animals.
